HARRISBURG- Flooding and lack of stream maintenance has burdened communities throughout the Commonwealth for years. In light of these issues, a group of lawmakers from the Northern Tier as well the Central and Western regions have come together to introduce a package of bills aimed at improving communities’ abilities to clear creeks and streams to help prevent flooding, which will protect lives and property.

Pickett, Fritz Support Funding to Aid Hospitals, Health Care Workers in Susquehanna County

HARRISBURG – Recognizing the ongoing challenges faced by Pennsylvania’s frontline health care workers, Reps. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) and Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) on Wednesday joined their House colleagues in supporting the allocation of $225 million in federal COVID-19 relief funding to hospitals statewide, including two in Susquehanna County. The bill was then signed into law by the governor as Act 2 of 2022.

Montrose Area School District Receives Farm to School Grant, Say Pickett, Fritz

Fritz, Baker Announce Herrick Township and Forest City to Benefit from Over $370,000 in State Funding for Local Improvement Projects

HARRISBURG– Today, Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) and Sen. Lisa Baker (R-Luzerne/Monroe/Pike/Susquehanna/Wayne/Wyoming) announced that Herrick Township will be awarded over $75,334 in state funding for the Herrick Park improvement project through the Greenways, Trails and Recreation Program. Forest City Borough also will receive $302,879 in state funding for the Forest City sidewalk project through the Multimodal Transportation Fund. The funding was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) this past Wednesday.
