Letter to the Editor - SCI Waymart

It is of grave concern to learn that SCI Waymart is being considered for closure. SCI Waymart has long been viewed as the pre-eminent mental health correctional facility in the Commonwealth. That critical focus and mission, alone, should remove SCI Waymart from the list of facilities being considered for closure, but I will provide additional justification for keeping it operational.

Pickett, Fritz Announce Grant for County’s Comprehensive Plan

HARRISBURG – To help Susquehanna County reassess the impacts of the natural gas industry, the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) will award a state grant to the county to help with its comprehensive plan, Reps. Tina Pickett (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) and Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) announced today.
