Northern Tier Workforce Development Board Awarded $131,006, Says Fritz

HONESDALE – With a goal of helping better prepare students for in-demand careers, Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) announced that the Northern Tier Workforce Development Board will receive a $131,006 Business-Education Partnership (BEP) grant from the Department of Labor and Industry.
“Our children’s future is always a priority,” said Fritz. “This funding will allow this board to cultivate partnerships with local schools and employers to ensure that students gain essential career-readiness experiences to help them secure jobs after graduation.”
The Business-Education Partnership grants from the state are funded at 100% through federal money made available from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act. For more information about the BEP awards, click here.
