Fritz Named Secretary of Aging and Older Adult Services Committee

HARRISBURG – Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Susquehanna/Wayne) has been chosen by House Speaker Mike Turzai (R-Allegheny) to serve as secretary of the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee.
“The 111th District has a thriving senior citizen population and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to advocate on their behalf through this role on the Aging and Older Adult Services Committee,” said Fritz. “Many challenges are facing Pennsylvania’s seniors, and I look forward to working together with my colleagues to ensure their voices are heard.”
The House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee is responsible for all programs and services available pursuant to the State Lottery Law, i.e., PACE/PACENET and senior transportation programs and long-term care; Office of Long-Term Living issues; Area Agencies on Aging; Department of Aging; Pennsylvania Council on Aging; and Intra-Governmental Council on Long-Term Care.
Pennsylvania has one of the highest rates of senior citizens in the country.
