HARRISBURG – Rep. Jonathan Fritz (R-Wayne/Susquehanna) and Salvation Army Ladore invite area seniors to their annual Senior Expo on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Salvation Army Ladore Pavilion, 287 Owego Turnpike, Waymart.
“Increased quality of life for our aging population is the focus,” said Fritz. “This expo is an excellent opportunity for our senior citizens to become aware of what types of resources and assistance are available to them. Our community has premium service providers and we want to enable consumers to have access.”
Representatives from various state departments and local organizations will be present to talk with seniors and their families about what programs and services are at their disposal. In partnership with Wayne Memorial Hospital, flu shots will be available for seniors during this event. Those looking to receive the vaccine need to bring their insurance card. There will also be an “Ask the Doctor” question and answer session to take part in as well.
For any questions or concerns about his event, call Fritz’s Honesdale district office at 570-253-5533.
